Córdoba CF has officially presented Ibai Sanz and Eder García in an event held at the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. During the presentation, the club thanked the Córdoba City Council for providing the venue and welcomed the two players, who join on loan from Athletic Club for the 2026/27 season. The entity's CEO, Antonio Fernández Monterrubio, expressed gratitude to the Córdoba City Council for granting the use of this emblematic space and highlighted the support provided by Athletic Club in finalizing the loans of both players. "We are delighted to have you with us and are confident that you will help us achieve the successes we have set out to accomplish," he stated.
Raúl Cámara, a member of the sports management team, described Ibai Sanz as a very complete forward, with mobility, speed in open spaces, playmaking ability, and quality in finishing. The attacker arrives after playing more than 35 matches with the Athletic Club reserve team last season, during which he scored ten goals and provided four assists. "I come with great enthusiasm and hunger. I will give it my all, and with hard work, the goals will come naturally," said the forward.
Regarding Eder García, Cámara highlighted his profile as a 'box-to-box' midfielder, his physical ability, tactical sense, and presence in the box. Trained at Real Sociedad, the player completed last season with Athletic Club's reserve team, playing 34 matches, scoring two goals, and providing four assists. Eder explained that he did not hesitate to accept Córdoba's proposal and assured that he approaches this stage with the goal of learning from more experienced teammates and continuing to grow: "I want to improve my game and get into the box more because I know it's an area where I can still contribute more."
Both players join on loan without a purchase option and are already working with the rest of the squad to adapt as quickly as possible to the demands of the Segunda División. The goal is for them to reach optimal conditions ahead of the league competition's start against Burgos CF.
