Córdoba CF will pay tribute to Adamuz and Córdoba in the match against Real Valladolid.
The match between Córdoba CF and Real Valladolid will be much more than a sporting event. The game will serve as a tribute and expression of gratitude to the people of Adamuz and the province of Córdoba, for their exemplary solidarity shown after the tragic railway accident that occurred in the town.
The Club has invited a large representation of the municipality of Adamuz, who will be present at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel to receive the affection and applause of the Córdoba fans. It will be a collective tribute to the residents who, from the very first moment, dedicated themselves to rescue efforts and attending to the injured.
Before the start of the match, children from Adamuz will take to the field alongside our players, wearing t-shirts expressing gratitude to the people of Adamuz and the entire province of Córdoba. A symbolic gesture representing recognition for those who helped evacuate the injured, offered their homes or businesses to assist the victims, donated blood, and collaborated selflessly during one of the most challenging times.
The tribute will also extend to healthcare workers, Security Forces, Military Emergency Unit (UME), Civil Protection, and all those anonymous heroes who worked tirelessly to mitigate the consequences of the accident. As a central part of the event, two of these heroes will perform the honorary kick-off, representing all those who provided help.
Córdoba CF is making a call to the fans to accompany this moment with a long and heartfelt round of applause, as a sign of respect, gratitude, and pride for a province that set an example of humanity and solidarity. There will be no minute of silence, but rather a minute of applause.
Additionally, the Supporters' Stand - to whom we express our gratitude for their dedication - has been working all week on a special tifo, which will be displayed as the players take to the field.
The final touch will be provided by the captain, who will wear an armband in honor of Adamuz.
