Damián Cáceres and Jacobo Martí, presented at the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba

Córdoba CF has officially presented Damián Cáceres and Jacobo Martí as new players of the blanquiverdes in a venue full of history: the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba. The midfielder from Madrid and the full-back from Valencia approach this new stage with enthusiasm, ambition, and the goal of establishing themselves in professional football.

Antonio Fernández Monterrubio, CEO of Córdoba CF, was responsible for opening the event and welcoming both players. Regarding Damián Cáceres, who signed for one season with an option to extend his contract, he highlighted the enthusiasm shown from the first contacts: "We loved the joy and willingness you showed when we first spoke with you." Concerning Jacobo Martí, he thanked him for choosing the Córdoba project despite having other offers and emphasized "the energy he brings to the day-to-day."

Raúl Cámara, the club's technical secretary, later analyzed the characteristics of the two new signings. About Damián, he highlighted his intensity, physical ability, and versatility in midfield. "He is a player who wins a lot of duels, is tactically sound, and makes the teammates around him better," he explained. Additionally, he emphasized that his hunger and ambition align with the profile of a midfielder the sports management was looking for.

Regarding Jacobo Martí, Cámara highlighted his speed, range, and ability to contribute in the attacking half. "He is a full-back who perfectly adapts to our style of play. He has great range and offers many offensive resources," noted the technical secretary, who also particularly valued the player's determination to accept Córdoba CF's proposal.

Damián Cáceres expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he has received since his arrival, especially from the team captains, and explained that he feels most comfortable playing as a defensive midfielder. "The position where I can perform best is as a six, although I have also played many times as an eight," he stated. The Madrid native expressed confidence in making the leap to a higher category: "All of us coming from different categories are great players, and we are going to give one hundred percent."

For his part, Jacobo Martí spoke naturally about the competition he will face at right-back with Carlos Albarrán and Egoitz Muñoz. "It's normal to have competition, and that's good because it helps you improve. We all pull together to help the club grow," he said. The Valencian also expressed his willingness to play in more advanced positions: "I have played many years as a winger, and if Iván thinks I can help there, I am ready."
