Ignasi Vilarrasa, new player of Córdoba CF

Córdoba Club de Fútbol is pleased to announce the signing of Ignasi Vilarrasa Palacios (Granollers, 23-08-1999), who has signed a contract for the next two seasons.

A left-back with great potential, he arrives at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel with over 100 matches in the second division under his belt and a notable performance in recent seasons. During his three years at SD Huesca, he played 117 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 12 assists, excelling both in defense and offense, where his ability to reach the byline and deliver precise crosses has been decisive.

His last season with the Huesca team was especially brilliant, scoring 1 goal and providing 8 assists, confirming his status as one of the most sought-after left-backs in La Liga Hypermotion.

Trained in FC Barcelona's youth academy, he began his career in the lower categories of UE Cornellà, debuting in Segunda División B in 2018. That same season, he joined Barça B. He later moved to Real Valladolid, where he started in the reserve team and, in his second year, debuted with the first team. Under the guidance of Sergio González, he played three full matches in the 2020/21 Copa del Rey up to the round of 16 and was regularly included in the squad for the pucelano team in La Liga.

Before his time at Huesca, he wore the jersey of CD Atlético Baleares in the third division, already demonstrating his power and verticality on the left flank.

Vilarrasa is a player with a clear offensive vocation, ideal for the playing style of our coach, Iván Ania. His strong left foot allows him to create chances with precise crosses and join the attack dangerously, while also providing defensive solidity. He also stands out as a specialist in set pieces, a skill that will add value to the team in strategic plays.

At 25 years old, he arrives in full athletic growth to strengthen the blanquiverde project.
