Córdoba CF fell in Valladolid (3-1) despite taking the lead in the 4th minute after an own goal by the home team, who equalized before halftime and came back in the second half. Once again, the match was marked by many turnovers from the blanquiverdes, combined with few scoring opportunities, as they were overpowered by a Valladolid side relying on aerial balls to their attackers and counterattacks. The scoreline could have been worse if Latasa hadn't sent a penalty over the crossbar in the 59th minute.

Córdoba CF found early fortune and took the lead in the 4th minute with an own goal by Rubio following a corner kick from Ghailan. The match seemed to be in their favor early on, and they tried to withstand the attacks from Latasa and Arnu, who were fed aerial balls from the back or the flanks by the Valladolid players. This was despite the fact that in the 2nd minute, the Valladolid striker received a yellow card, significantly affecting his duel with Rubén Alves.

For the blanquiverdes, Ghailan tried to drive Córdoba's offensive play, but they struggled to reach the area with clarity, although they also didn't face much local danger apart from the battles between Rubén and Álex with Real Valladolid's attacking duo. Always under pressure, they managed to handle many situations with their advanced defensive line, often catching their opponents offside.

However, the sense of control for the blanquiverdes never fully materialized. Latasa warned in the 33rd minute with a shot that hit the crossbar, and just four minutes later, a good play down the left wing by the home team left Ponceau at the byline, who delivered a back pass that Arnu easily converted to equalize the match. Latasa managed to draw several blanquiverde defenders, leaving his teammate in a favorable position.

Córdoba tried to recover and had a chance to make it 1-2 in the 42nd minute when Kevin Medina received a pass from Budesca on the right, but Rubio cleared the Málaga player's shot off the line, extinguishing Córdoba's hopes in their first clear opportunity aside from the goal.

Ania made substitutions at the start of the second half, bringing on Juan Gutiérrez for Álex Martín and Bri for Kevin Medina to better control the Latasa-Arnu duo. However, a good play by Valladolid following a Córdoba CF turnover resulted in the 2-1 (53rd minute) with a near-post shot by Víctor Jr. that beat Guilherme.
