Córdoba CF held its traditional visit and floral offering to San Rafael, the Patron of the city, this afternoon at the Church of the Oath, ahead of the start of a new season. A delegation from the white-and-green club, led by the club's CEO, Antonio Fernández Monterrubio, along with coach Iván Ania, assistant coach César Negredo, and the team's four captains (Carlos Albarrán, Isma Ruiz, Cristian Carracedo, and Álex Martín), participated in the event alongside members of the San Rafael brotherhood, the club's chaplain, Father Pablo Garzón, and the parish priest and rector of the Church of the Oath, Father Fernando Cruz-Conde.

Fernando Cruz-Conde welcomed the delegation and prayed for them and the club, saying, "May San Rafael protect you in your travels and your campaign, may he protect you in your challenges and your health," and emphasized, "You have the affection of the entire city and the protection of San Rafael to achieve your dreams, and may you bring us the greatest joys. Córdoba is already a city of the First Division, and hopefully, it will be in football someday as well."

The rector of the Church of the Oath also highlighted, "We ask for fraternity in sports, and especially in team sports, united in brotherhood. The lesson from the last World Cup is that the team triumphed over individualities. We ask San Rafael for that fraternal spirit," he added.

For his part, Antonio Fernández Monterrubio emphasized, "We come to honor the tradition before the Patron of Córdoba and to ask him to continue protecting this city, our club, and its fans, so that we can keep growing, achieving goals and dreams." At the end of the event, some parishioners and fans present in the church had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with the captains of the first team and the representatives of the coaching staff.
